Welcome to my website!
My name is Gabrielle Vasey and I'm an Assistant Professor of Economics at Concordia University in Montreal.
I’m an applied microeconomist studying schooling and human capital formation in low- and middle-income countries. My work integrates structural estimation with causal inference, combining administrative and survey data with randomized and natural experiments to study policies that shape decisions and outcomes for students, parents, and teachers (e.g., conditional cash transfers, information shocks, classroom peer dynamics) in Mexico and Pakistan.
Research interests: education; labour; development; structural/causal methods; policy evaluation.
